SLU’s Just Earth team hosts “BioTour” Day of Actvities

This Monday September 29th SLU’s Just Earth is hosting a number of events geared towards environmental issues and awareness.  These include

  • A demonstration on how to convert cars to run on vegetable oil
  • A Presentation on Social Justice and the Environment followed by a panel discussion
  • A BioTour drum circle in the quad.

CAREER FAIR and prep. at the BSC

The Fall 08 Career Fair comes to you on October 1st from 1:00p.m.-5:00p.m. in the BSC

There will be for-profit corporations, non-profit agencies, educational groups, healthcare organizations, service groups and graduate schools.

Need help preparing?

* Visit Career Services (BSC 331) any day during walk-in hours from 1 – 2.

* Listen to the Career Fair prep podcast at www.careers.slu.edu.

* Attend the Career Fair prep workshop, Sept. 30, 1 – 2 in BSC 253.

* Walk-in assistance and resume reviews will be available in our office all day from 8 to 5 on the Monday and Tuesday right before the fair (Sept. 29 & 30).

The Career Fair is open and free to ALL current SLU students and alumni.  Professional dress or business casual attire is required.

 

Social Justice Night

The Doerr Center for Social Justice Education and Research will hold its annual Social Justice Night celebration on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm.
This event will be held at Il Monastero Hall, 3050 Olive Blvd. The keynote speaker for the evening will be Sarah Anderson, Director of the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC. .
Admission is free and free parking is available on site. This event is open to all students.
 

Oksoberfest 2008


Alcohol Awareness Week is fast approaching.  It’s a week long schedule of events to provide alternatives (and awareness!) to students regarding the usage of Alcohol.

There are some great things planned, such as tours of our haunted church and a late night at the Rec.

Is your student organization, res hall floor, or fraternity and sorority looking to get involved during alcohol awareness week?  

Register your team today, get your members out to the OkSOBERfest events, and make sure they sign in!

Prizes will be awarded to the top team in each category. The deadline to submit an event is October 10, 2008
