Navigation Update

Just a quick update from Chris the admin.  I’ve been getting some feedback and took a look at the most used links in the top navigation.

I took apart the web server (see above photo) and rewired a few things.

I’ve reordered the links under Campus Life, making things like mySLU, SLU Google Apps and PeopleFinder a little more accessible.  I also removed some links that were never (Yes, never) clicked on.

Hopefully you can now find what you’re looking for!

Cross Cultural Center Brings Stereotyping Exhibit to Campus

Saint Louis University’s Cross Cultural Center is bringing a challenging exhibit about stereotyping and prejudice to the campus for Diversity Awareness Month in November.

“THEM: Images of Separation” will be on display Nov. 3-26 in Busch Student Center.

Through 35 separate framed pieces, “THEM: Images of Separation” features historic and contemporary pieces that depict negative stereotypes based on race, religion, sexual orientation and more.

An opening reception will be held 4-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, near the exhibit in Busch Student Center.

The exhibit culminates with “Rightful Reflections,” an event designed to encourage dialogue about the difficult images. The discussion will be held 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, in Busch Student Center, Room 253. “Rightful Reflections” is open to all members of the SLU community.

ETF Light-bulb Swap (Last Day)

Today will be the 3rd and final day of SLU’s Environmental Task Force’s Light Bulb Swap. They’ve been trick-or- treating around dorms and apartments asking students to give away their standard bulbs (for recycling) and in return students have received earth friendly Compact Florescent Light-bulbs!

If you live in Gries or Reinert tonight it’s your turn! Be in your dorm between 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. to receive your new bulb, or, if you can’t make it, leave your old bulb in a plastic bag and it will be replaced!

If you’re a student living off campus or you missed the swap the last two nights you can visit the table in the BSC between 11:00a.m. and 2:00p.m. today.

This is your last chance to get a NEW, FREE, EARTH-FRIENDLY CFL!!!

ETF thanks everyone who has participated so far and wants to encourage all others to participate!
