After hours of careful experiments, deep in our lair beneath DuBourg Hall, we’ve figured out how to get the iPhone/iPod Touch to connect to SLUNet wireless.
We figured this out on our own – no warranty or support on our end. If you can get it working great!
Step 1.

Go into the Settings app and select Wi-Fi
Step 2.

If you have ever connected to sluguest you’ll need to forget the network. Tap on the little blue arrow and select Forget this Network.
Step 3.

In the list to choose which wireless network to connect to, select Other…
Step 4.

Enter slunet as the Network Name and then tap Security
Step 5.

From here tap WPA2 Enterprise
Step 6.

On this screen enter your SLUNet ID. This is the same username and password that you use for Banner, MySLU and Novell. Tap Join.
Step 7.

If the iPhone spirits are on your side you should be presented with a certificate after a few seconds. Tap the Accept button.
Step 8.

You’re now connected to SLUNet.
Step 9.

Check out all you favorite websites *cough* SLU Connection! *cough*

Here’s David Koeller with the weekend weather forecast. I’d love to say it looks like a great weekend, but that would be a blatant fabrication. Look at all the pretty colors!

If you’re out and about Saturday within the hour between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, take a look around. Campus is a little different.
As a part of Earth Hour, the worldwide initiative to raise awareness on climate change, SLU will be shutting off the lights on Griesediek Hall, the Doisy Research Center, the Chaifetz Arena, and College Church.
At 8:30 Saturday, Just Earth! will be holding a scavenger hunt at the Clocktower. Look out for a news crew from Channel 5. SLU TV’s own David Koeller as well as Just Earth! president John Kelly covered the event on today’s noon broadcast.
All of this is a part of making SLU a more sustainable and ecologically friendly campus. If you’re interested in making SLU a little greener, check out ETF and Just Earth! The power is yours!
