Here’s a look at the next installment of the Living Justice Speaker Series at College Church:
TweetSt. Francis Xavier (College) Church invites you to participate in the next session of their Living Justice Speaker Series for 2009. This panel will take a closer look at “Affordable Housing in St. Louis” on Sunday, April 26th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 p.m. in the Xavier Ballroom on lower level of the Church (corner of Grand & Lindell). Parking is available on Lindell or in SLU’s parking garage on Laclede at Grand. A light lunch will be provided.
The Living Justice Speaker Series grew out of the parish community’s desire to offer forums that provide more up-to-date information and create a deeper awareness of some key social justice issues facing our community. All speakers chosen have significant expertise and relevant experience with these topics. They will not only share their knowledge but will also provide us with an open discussion on how each of us can make a difference in resolving some of these problems.
The 2009 Living Justice Series is looking deeply at three issues of concern in our community: hunger, lack of affordable housing and racism. We hope that all in our neighboring communities will join hands with the “College Church” in learning more about these issues and developing collaborative responses to them.
