We received these friendly reminders from the Pius XII Memorial Library Staff:

This is a friendly reminder about watching your stuff while studying. Do not leave any valuables, such as laptops or cell phones, unattended in study spaces, such as Pius Library.

As with other university libraries nationwide, thefts of pricey electronics increase during exam time. Leaving your things unattended to go to class, grab a bite to eat, or go to the bathroom is not wise. It’s better to take things with you or have a very trustful friend watch them for you.

The Library is a very safe place. Library staff and DPS officers monitor the Library, but it is up to each student to take responsibility for their individual items.

A second friendly reminder: only the main (1st floor) of Pius Library is open after 2:00am. Access to the entire Library resumes at 7:30am or as otherwise indicated on the schedule.
