TweetITS has launched a redesigned Web site at slu.edu/its.
Based on feedback from the University, the site is reorganized to enable SLU students to more quickly find information on the ITS products and services that they need (and use).
In addition to these changes, the ITS site also features a “New to SLU?” section that provides top-line information regarding SLU’s technology for new students, faculty and staff.
Along with the new ITS division site, the ITS Community Forum (viewable only by those at Saint Louis University), was launched.
The Community Forum, located at https://sites.google.com/a/slu.edu/its-community-forum/, provides information on ITS announcements, archived ITS Tech Tips, software and hardware discount information and a calendar that will list details on maintenance, upgrade and other ITS events.
ITS invites you to take a look around and let us know what you think about the new sites by e-mailing ITSCommunications@slu.edu.
(Please note: All service or technical assistance requests MUST be sent to the IT service desk by calling (314) 977-4000 or e-mailing helpdesk@slu.edu. )

Wendy Lee, a SLU grad and peace corps volunteer, hopes to raise $11,500 to build thrity bilingual libaries in Cameroon.
The project, dubbed “Books for Cameroon,” began to supply a small school near her home with books. The project later expanded to include 30 communities and schools.
Schools in Cameroon do not generally have access to a library. Those that do have a supply of books do not utilize them to their potential. The Books for Cameroon project would not only provide books for the schools and communities across Cameroon, but also provide library management training to ensure sustainability.
Since Cameroon is a bilingual nation, the project will provide materials in both English and French.
To find out more about Books for Cameroon, visit the project’s website, its Facebook page, or follow Wendy Lee’s blog and twitter.

We will be showcasing members (faculty, staff and students) of Saint Louis University in the new series ‘Artist Lights’.
Trubright d’Art Exhibit opens the series in the spacious gallery at Level 2 on Tuesday, September 1st through 30th with digital artist Ted Rubright. He calls the images “techno-spiritual constructs” because they seem to evoke a deeper meaning or connection than one would expect from computer generated or fractal designs.
An artist reception will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 5:00 pm. The Pius Live Event will feature guitarist Dan Rubright and Gail Staines.
Presented by Center for Teaching Excellence and The Library Associates.
