gic-logo

The Great Issues Committee is the student organization on campus dedicated to hosting nationally and internationally recognized speakers to inform the student population and to provoke intellectual debate.

Last year, the Committee hosted many speakers from Mike Huckabee to Bill Nye. This year the calendar is already shaping up, with former president of Mexico Vicente Fox speaking on September 15th and two other speakers scheduled for shortly thereafter.

GIC is currently searching for a few freshmen to serve on the committee in selecting the next speakers to come to campus. This is a very unique and rare opportunity to get your foot in the door of campus involvement! Apply today here or check out the GIC website at http://gic.slu.edu/
