Beginning Sunday, October 4, and running through Tuesday, December 15, Pius Library will be open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week!

“Students have been requesting 24-hour access to Pius Library for many years,” says Gail M. Staines, Ph.D., assistant provost for university libraries. “This year, everything came together to make it happen.”

Providing 24/5 access to Pius Library is a collaborative effort between the University Libraries, the Department of Public Safety, the Facilities Department including housekeeping, Student Development, and the Student Government Association. Through the generosity of all of these entities, Pius is able to be open 24/5 for the Fall 2009 semester.

The library will remain open from Sunday 10 am through Friday 9 pm and then on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. Exceptions are Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Winter Break.
