Any individual affiliated with the university has the opportunity to submit a recommendation for the 2011 first-year summer reading book. The recommendations will be reviewed by a panel made up of faculty, staff, and students.
The book must be rather short (less than 300 pages), relevant to incoming first-year students, potentially cross-curricular, and interesting to students as a summer reading book.
Recommendations are due to Susan Finale (sfanale@slu.edu) by November 11, 2009. Please provide your personal information, the book information including a short synopsis, and the significance of the book choice as it relates to the first-year summer reading program.
