The Billiken Club Holds General Interest Meeting On Tuesday, August 31 at 6 PM

The Billiken Club is SLU’s music venue located on the bottom floor of the BSC, voted best all ages venue by the Riverfront Times and run by SLU students with occasionally large sideburns. Students wanting to get involved are encouraged to attend a general interest meeting at 6 PM on Tuesday, August 31, in BSC 254. Emily Price with the Billiken Club sent us info about getting involved:

Want to be a part of the music venue on campus? Come to the Billiken Club general interest meeting to find out who we are, what we do, and the many opportunities for you to be involved. The Billiken Club is a free, all ages music venue, and has been voted the Best All Ages Music Venue in St. Louis by the Riverfront Times.

In addition to national artists who perform at the club, each bill has a regional/local act, which features the best of Saint Louis musicians. In past semesters, The Billiken Club has been fortunate enough to bring upcoming national acts such as The Mountain Goats, Caribou, Beach House, Apples in Stereo, and Horse Feathers. All shows are booked, promoted, and produced by a small staff of Saint Louis University students.

If you can’t make it to the general interest meeting, contact Hunter Hostettler (hhostet1@slu.edu) or Emily Price (eprice61@slu.edu).
