Marriage And Dating Conference – Call For Papers

Saint Louis University’s 6th Annual Undergraduate Marriage and Dating Conference has officially opened its call for papers.  The conference will be held from April 8-10 in DuBourg Hall Room 157 and is offered to undergraduate students and faculty free of charge.
The conference is titled “Sex in The City of God: Exploring Relational Tensions in These In-Between Times.”  It will focus on various conflicts or tensions within relationships. Dr. Todd Salzman, of Creighton University, will speak on Saturday (April 9th) as the keynote speaker.
This is a great opportunity for undergraduates to gain experience in submitting and presenting a paper. Theological paper proposals on any topic relating to conflict within marriage and relationships are welcome, including, but not limited to, moral questions on contraception, civil unions, and in vitro fertilization. Students who are looking for more guidance on what to write about are encouraged to visit this website, where several ideas for paper topics are listed.
Paper proposals should take the form of an abstract (approximately 200 words) and should be emailed, along with any other questions, to ablanto1@slu.edu. The deadline for proposals is March 18.
