Vote on New Furniture for Pius Library

Chairs are really underrated things. People rely on chairs every day to support and comfort them while they work. Without chairs, we would have to do work on the ground, or standing up, and that would be totally uncomfortable. Plus, the right chairs can really bring a room together, in a feng shui sort of way. What I’m trying to say is this: good furniture is important.

Which is why Pius Library is inviting students to come check out different options for new furniture. Starting today (Monday, November 14) until Friday, you can cast your vote on which style of study carrels, task chairs, lounge seating, group seating, and group study spaces you like best.

This event is brought to you by SGA, and they had this to say:

Your Student Government Association has been working with SLU’s administration to renovate Pius XII Memorial Library to improve the amount and the quality of student space available. We want the students to have a direct voice in the process, so please take five minutes before your study session in Pius this week to test out the furniture samples on the third floor.

If you have any questions about this event or would like to provide additional feedback on Pius Library, please email Patrick Grillot, SGA Academic Vice President, at pgrillot@slu.edu.

SGA is here to advocate for any concern that you have as a student at SLU might have. You can always contact SGA via email at sga@slu.edu.
