The University News has confirmed that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will headline a rally for the Republican Party at Chaifetz Arena on Thursday, Oct. 2, immediately following her debate with Sen. Joe Biden at Washington University in St. Louis.
Amy Kaufman, president of the College Republicans at Saint Louis University, said, while the event is aimed at the citywide community, members of the SLU community are encouraged to attend.
Kaufman said she expects Palin to arrive at the arena at around 10:15 p.m.

Rebecca Walker is a best-selling author, activist, and founder of Third Wave Feminism. Daughter of the legendary feminist Alice Walker and Goddaughter of Gloria Steinem, she was named on of the most influential future leaders by TIME magazine. She is a recognized expert on intergenerational feminism, multiculturalism, and transformational human awareness.
Walker will be visiting SLU to give a speech entitled “The New Masculinity: Obama, Gore, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and What Makes a Man in the 21st Century.”
The presentation starts at 7pm this Tuesday, September 30th in the Saint Louis Room (BSC)
