Politics, Power, and African American Women Elected Officials in St. Louis

It is time for the highlight of SLU’s first annual Gender and Politics conference that the Political Science Department has been putting on. And this event is the “Politics, Power, and African American Women Elected Officials in St. Louis.”

With co-sponsorship from the African American Studies, Women’s Studies, and the Political Science Department the roundtable panel was created. This discussion will focus on the perspective of African American women running for and serving in elected office. This will be in room 256 of the BSC this Friday from 1:00p.m. until 2:30p.m.

Can’t make this event? Check out the schedule of events for the conference here. All events are free and open to the public so you have no excuse not to celebrate the Women’s Studies 30th Anniversary at SLU.
