Holiday Rooms in Bloom

Winter doesn’t have to be all drab and dreary! The Samuel Cupples House is presenting “Holiday Rooms in Bloom,” where St. Louis’s premier florists display festive holiday arrangements that use the artwork, ambiance, and overall beauty of the historic mansion as inspiration.

The event takes place from December 8 – December 11. Heidi Glaus, of KSDK Channel 5, will inaugurate the event by lighting up the Christmas tree at around 6 PM on the 8th. Members of SLU’s choral group will sing Christmas songs.

There’s no admission charge. In the spirit of giving, visitors are encouraged to donate either a new or gently used item of winter clothing to benefit the St. Francis Xavier Church parish help center.

Samuel Cupples Birthday Celebration!

What do you give the man who had everything?

A party in his namesake mansion, of course!

Join us on Wednesday, September 14 from 5PM-7:30PM at the Historic Samuel Cupples House as we celebrate the 180th birthday of the first and foremost occupant of the historic home that bears his name — none other than Samuel Cupples. Fresh Gatherings, the eatery operated by the University’s dietary and nutrition department will provide the birthday cake. Enjoy wine, light refreshments and jazz provided by The Silk Pajamas on the Cupples House patio. The suggested donation is $5.

No candles to extinguish; just fun to be had!
