AsthaPalooza

It’s that time of year! No, I’m not talking about exams, I’m talking about Astha‘s spring concert: AsthaPalooza!

That’s right, SLU’s only Indian fusion acappella group will be having their concert  this Saturday, April 28th (with guests performances by SLU’s own Decadence and Maryville University’s Notorious). The fun starts at 7:00p.m. and lasts until 9:00p.m. in Tegeler Hall, doors open at 6:30p.m.

Tickets are being sold for $5 dollars in the BSC this week. But if you miss them it is only $7 at the door. Any questions? You can reach Astha at asthacappella@gmail.com.

GIC Presents Mitch Albom – “Have A Little Faith”

The Great Issues Committee brings to SLU yet another insightful speaker – Mitch Albom, author of Tuesdays With Morrie, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, and other books, plays, and films. The lecture is titled “Have A Little Faith” and takes place at 7 PM in the BSC’s Wool Ballrooms on Wednesday, April 25th.

Here’s more info from GIC:

Mitch Albom is an internationally renowned and best-selling author, journalist, screenwriter, playwright, radio and television broadcaster and musician. His books have collectively sold over 28 million copies worldwide in forty-two languages, and have been made into Emmy Award-winning and critically-acclaimed television movies.

Albom’s message will hit home for most of you, but especially for all the graduating seniors before they move on to their next big plans. This is the LAST event of the year, and an amazing opportunity to hear a great speaker for FREE.

That’s right, this lecture is free and open to the public. So bring your friends. Also, bring your favorite Albom book, since the lecture will be followed by a book signing.
