Fresh Look Retreat

Attention all first-year students of Saint Louis University! Now open to you is the chance to relax, reflect, and rejuvenate: The Fresh Look Retreat. Campus Ministry brings you a weekend that

provides an opportunity to reflect on their first semester at SLU, to evaluate where they are in their collegiate lives, and to produce goals for their futures at SLU and beyond graduation.

This year the Retreat will be the weekend of January 27th through January 29th. Applications have been sent to all freshmen, but are also available online here.

Deadline for registration is this Friday, November 18th at 5:00p.m. If  you have any questions shoot an email to either lbutler9@slu.edu or lnoesen@slu.edu.

Urban Plunge Retreat Registration is Now Open in Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry invites students to register in the Urban Plunge Retreat, which takes place from Friday, September 10 to Saturday, September 11. Ben Smyth, the Faith and Justice Coordinator for Campus Ministry, has more information:

The Urban Plunge Retreat is a retreat designed to explore the social justice issues facing St. Louis, such as racism, poverty, and housing. As a part of the retreat, students will take part in a service project at a St. Louis agency. If you are interested in social justice, service, and making those a part of your faith life, the Urban Plunge could be for you!

Registration forms are available in the Campus Ministry Center and on the Campus Ministry website. Hurry in: the deadline to register is September 7, but spaces are filling quickly!

Urban Plunge Deadline is September 8

The deadline to register for the Urban Plunge is this Tuesday at 5pm!

The Urban Plunge is a retreat designed for students interested in deepening their understanding of Christian service and justice and introduces students to the realities affecting the poor and marginalized in the City of St. Louis.

The retreat includes opportunities for direct community service and reflection on these experiences, as well as reflection on the students’ understandings of social justice. Students interested in beginning or continuing service in the community are encouraged to attend.

Ignite Leadership Retreat Set for September 18-19

The Ignite Leadership Retreat It all Begins with a Spark September 18-19, 2009

As Student Life says, “even the greatest leaders of all time had to start somewhere.”

The Saint Louis University Ignite Leadership Retreat is an off-campus, overnight retreat that will help you discover what it takes to change the world. The retreat is designed around the idea that every one of us has the ability to lead or serve society in some way that can change it.

Apply Now to be a Mission Trip Student Leader!

Campus Ministry is looking for student leaders to assist in planning, fundraising, and leading domestic and international mission trips over Spring Break.

Applicants must be juniors or seniors and have previously attended a Campus Ministry mission trip. Applications are available on Campus Ministry’s website and in the main office.
