Now I’m no expert on pop culture, but I can tell you that a movie with both Christina Aguilera and Cher doesn’t come by every day. I’m not even sure it’s been done before. I could be wrong.

In any case, would you like to go to a free showing of Burlesque before it hits theaters?

Watch SLU-TV on Wednesday night as they air their ‘Updog’ program. They will be giving away advanced screening passes, t-shirts and other Burlesque items from 10:00 to 10:45 PM so tune in to Channel 22. If you ‘like’ SLU-TV on Facebook you could have a chance to win some of the following prizes

SLU-TV Holds Two Informational Meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 PM

SLU-TV, SLU’s student television organization that broadcasts online and on campus channel 22, is gearing up for its fall informational meeting. They’ll be getting together at 5 PM in the luxurious SLU-TV studio in the Busch Student Center this Tuesday and Wednesday night (August 31 and September 1) to talk all things television. Matt Wesselschmidt with SLU-TV has more:

SLU-TV is the university’s student-run television station providing movies and student-produced TV shows on channel 22, anywhere on campus.  We are always looking for anchors, reporters, meteorologists, and sportscasters for our twice-weekly live news program as well as actors for scheduled comedy and drama series.

We also need script writers, camera operators, and video and audio technicians for all of these programs.  No experience is required for any of these roles.  SLU-TV also checks out cameras to students or groups who want to work on their own projects to be aired on SLU-TV.

Get Involved With SLU TV: Elections to Be Held This Wednesday

Actually, I’m certain you can.

SLU TV is holding its annual elections, and now is the time to get involved, even if you have no prior experience with SLU TV. The positions available are:

  • Treasurer
  • Technical Director
  • Programming Director
  • News Director
  • Sports Director
  • Advertising Director
  • Arts & Entertainment Director
  • Cultural Affairs Director
  • Greek Life Director
  • Webmaster
  • Studio Manager
  • Special Events Director

For all of these positions, prior involvement in the group is not required. For more information on these positions or SLU TV in general, contact David Koeller, president of SLU TV, at slutv@slu.edu. Elections will be held Wednesday at 5 in the SLU TV studios.
