KSLU 24 Hour Broadcast

Tomorrow marks the bi-annual 24 Hour Broadcast for KSLU, SLU’s radio station!

This is a tradition for KSLU, where starting at 7 am on Friday there will be a live DJ in the studio until 7 am on Saturday! Along with the normal programming, many DJs will be playing specialty shows throughout the day and night that you’re not going to want to miss, such as a ’90s rap show at 6pm, a punk show at 1 am, and an ambient show at 3am.

Not only will there be live programming for the full 24 hours, but there will be performances in the station throughout the day and night as well, like St. Louis’ own Black James around 8 pm. There’s also a foosball tournament taking place in the afternoon and rumor has it people are getting donuts in the wee hours of the morning.

Stop on by KSLU anytime throughout the day and start a dance party. See you there!

KSLU Party at Plush

After rounding up rush week last week, KSLU is back with another event this Friday, Jan. 25th – it’s their new website launch party and fundraising event for the Billiken Club, being held at Plush (3224 Locust St.)!

The event features a slew of local artists, special t-shirt prints by Civil Ape (run by a former SLU student!), and bakery treats by Black Bear Bakery. Doors are at 7pm, and the show starts at 8 with a line up of:

Acorns to Oaks
Adult Fur (a SLU student!)
MME
Golden Curls
Troubadour Dali

Tickets are $5 for SLU students and $8 for the public. All proceeds go to benefit bringing back the Billiken Club!

The Facebook event for the party can be seen here. Plush is only a block away from the Olive-Compton garage, by the Flying Cow. Come support SLU’s radio station and music venue!
