Sigma Kappa’s UV Week

This week is Sigma Kappa’s UV Week, in which the sorority raises funds to support Alzheimer’s Disease research, Maine Sea Coast Mission, and educational programming and scholarships for Sigma Kappa members. Here are the scheduled events:

Wednesday, April 18th

11 AM – 2 PM: Sigma Kappa will be selling $1 Forget-Me-Nots in the quad to benefit Alzheimer’s Association. Also, you can donate coins and receive a lollipop!

Thursday, April 19th

11 AM – 2 PM: The girls will be selling Forget-Me-Nots once again, at the Clocktower this time.

6:30 PM: Watch fraternities go head-to-head in “Fraternity Feud,” an epic game show battle in Tegeler Auditorium. Bring an empty soda can for admission.

Friday, April 20

4 PM – 7 PM: The world-famous “Sketti Dinner” takes place in the DeMatt Multipurpose Room. For $6, get yourself some crazy good spaghetti to end your week.

 

 

Delta Gamma Anchor Splash

Delta Gamma is out to promote their Service for Sight and you can help! All you have to do is participate in a few of their fundraisers:

  • Mr. Anchor Splash: Thursday, Feb. 23rd from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. in the Lee Auditorium
  • Anchor Slams: Thursday 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. or Sunday 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. in the Simon Rec courts
  • Baked Goods Sales: Thursday through Friday in the Quad from 10:00a.m.-4:00p.m.

Or you can support Delta Gamma by eating at a some awesome restaurants. Today stop by Humphry‘s and try a few of Gus’ pretzels. Get some delicious ice-cream from the Flying Cow on Thursday or order some Papa Johns pizza on this coming, lazy Sunday.

Sigma Kappa Informal Recruitment Week

There are some sweet events that Sigma Kappa is putting  on this week starting of course with Fondu on Monday. But I get ahead of myself, here’s a list of events that are happening throughout the week:

  • Mon, Feb. 20th: Fondue and Info Night (Reinert Banquet Room; 8:00p.m.-9:00p.m.)
  • Wed, Feb. 22nd: Love Purple, Go Green (BSC St. Louis Room; 7:00p.m.-8:30p.m.)
  • Thurs, Feb. 23rd: Spa Night (Reinert Banquet Room; 8:00p.m.-9:30p.m.)
  • Fri, Feb. 24th: Invitation Only Spaghetti Dinner (Il Monastero; 6:30p.m.-8:00p.m.)

So head over to one of  these fun sounding events and figure out what Sigma Kappa is all about!

Developing Strong Women Resource Fair

Come learn about current issues that are relevant to women in your present and future lives with Alpha Delta Pi. On November 30th the Developing Strong Women Resource Fair has a mission

to provide women with resources that will help enrich and strengthen their well being.

Sigma Kappa has provided opportunities for women for over 100 years. They are currently seeking woman
