The UNews Wants to Hear From You for Their Upcoming Civic Journalism Section

The UNews is once again calling for questions for their civic journalism section.

Civic journalism is reporting by the UNews in a much more direct way. Questions are submitted by anyone in the SLU community: faculty, staff, or students.

If there’s anything you wanted to know about SLU, whether it be mundane or hard-hitting investigative journalism, send it to unewscivicjournalism@gmail.com. The deadline is February 28, but the earlier you submit your questions, the better.

For more information, check out the civic journalism facebook group.

University News General Interest Meetings Held This Week

UNews

Our friends at the UNews sent us this information about their general interest meetings:

The University News, SLU’s only newspaper by students and for students since 1921, will be hosting its general interest meetings during the first week of classes. Anyone interested in learning more about writing, photography, design or web design for The UNews is invited to attend to learn more about the organization.

The meetings will be Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 27 at 4 p.m., held in our newsroom, BSC 354. Also, feel free to drop by our booth at the SLU fair on Wednesday—our ice cream topping is chocolate magic shell. You know you can’t resist.
