International Business Students Honored

We all know SLU has exceptional students. Next Thursday, October 6, the John Cook School of Business Boeing Institute of International Business is celebrating eight of those amazing students at their annual awards ceremony. And they are inviting the SLU community to share in the celebration. Best part, the event is complimentary with registration.

The event will also celebrate two global professionals: Edward Monser IV, president and COO at Emerson, and Dr. Peter Raven, former president of the Missouri Botanical Garden.

SLU Connection caught up with three of the award and scholarship recipients to find out what sets them apart. From studying abroad to having lofty career goals, these Billikens share the benefits of global insight.

Introducing the Student Media Production Team

u-news-ad-one-fourth

Need a video shot but you’re uncomfortable around computers, tripods, or camera equipment? The Student Media Production Team has you covered.

The Student Media Production Team was created to address the need of video production on campus. University departments and student groups can use the team to handle all aspects of your video production, from consultation to the final product.

The SMPT takes on all types of projects; they can capture speakers and events from start to finish, film a commercial for SLU TV, embed a video in your website, or film a video to be shown at your organization’s event. The cost-effective videos will save you the money and the hassle of an outside company.

If your student group, university department, or organization would like to have a video produced, contact Jason Young (jyoung42@slu.edu or 977-1782) or Chris Koerner (koernerc@slu.edu or 977-3545) for more information.
